Health plans purchase TRICAST software applications such as AccuCAST to serve as an integrated analytic and decision platform for managing pharmacy and medical benefit risk. These same applications are used internally by TRICAST to find, fix, and forecast risk and are at the core of our risk management capabilities.
Our AccuCAST software is used by actuaries to file approximately 20% of all Medicare PDP filings in the United States. The application provided greater accuracy of plan prediction and formulary re-allocation than was previously experienced and slashed the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) filing time in half!
The application was reviewed by CMS and found to be in compliance with CMS guidelines. This is as close as possible to an actual endorsement by the Federal government.
