On-going Management

The Day One Program adds TRICAST personnel to our entire Suite of Services to create an on-going management program that typically saves clients 7% of more of their annual pharmacy spend without changing plan design.

TRICAST was engaged by a large state program with $90 million of annual pharmacy benefit costs.  The issue facing our client was annual cost increases of over 10% in their pharmacy benefit costs.

Our challenge was implementing solutions to help them control costs without changing their current plan design or disrupting the service level to their members. The solution? Our Day One Program.

Under the Day One Program, this client has had every aspect of the pharmacy vendor and claims payment process scrutinized for compliance, quality assurance, and process improvement.

As a result of TRICAST oversight and management, this client has experienced negative trend in each year of the Day One Program. In a single year alone, the savings to this client were over $10 million with no change in vendors or plan designs.

As TRICAST continues to implement risk management and process improvement solutions, the Day One Program continues to produce negative trends.
